CentOS:: BIND:: Forcing a refresh of a BIND DNS Slave

A quicky, before I forget,

When running a pair of BIND DNS servers in master/slave configuration, you will sometimes need to force a fresh to the slave if you don't want to wait for the automatice transfer to happen. To do this, simply run the following command,

 
# rndc refresh zone_name

Where the zone_name = domain.co.za or if you want to force it, without checking the serial,

 
# rndc retransfer zone_name
